Filtering net for the filtration of aluminum and ferrous metals (steel and cast iron) with braided mesh to avoid its deformation during the passage of the metal flow.

NON-METALLIC NET FILTERS FOR FILTERING METAL IN LOW PRESSURE

  1. The fiberglass filter does not pollute and does not change the composition of the liquid aluminum alloy at high temperature.

  2. The weight of the fiberglass filter is lighter than the galvanized metal mesh, it can thus float on the surface of the liquid aluminum and be removed without any pollution of the alloy.

  3. With the glass fiber filter, the operator can obtain a good separation of the liquid aluminum very easily and can be reused, on the contrary, of what happens with the galvanized wire mesh.

SOLUTION FOR QUICK RELEASE OF JET METEROZZES

Cutting the casting of the casting has always been a difficult and risky operation, which few foundry operators like to practice. A good solution to reduce the TIMES and RISKS is to use fabric filters (filtering net with 4x4 mm hole which still allows a good passage of the metal flow), to be positioned in the casting system as close as possible to the jet.

Foam filters

GRAPHITE FOAM FILTERS

Main features:

The ceramic foam filters are designed for the filtration of aluminum and aluminum alloys up to a temperature of 850 ° C, in particular for gravity casting in sand, ceramic or metal matrices.

A typical feature of foam filters is the three-dimensional network of open pores that form a labyrinth in their ceramic body.

The filters have a homogeneous ceramic structure.This design optimizes their filtering capacity and pouring rate. Their chemical composition, in contact with the adhesion forces active inside the ceramic filter, is ideal for capturing inclusions and base oxide films of Al2O3.

Recommended application:

The ceramic foam filters can be used in different positions within the casting system and applied in combination with insulating sleeves or exothermic sleeves. The filters can be equipped with a sealing gasket to prevent them from crumbling in positioning inside the mold and to guarantee an excellent seal during the passage of the liquid metal.

Special features:

The biggest advantage of graphite filters compared to other types of filters are their low density, which provides the possibility of easier recycling of metals without excess work, and their high thermal conductivity, which allows a very rapid ignition of the filter by the start of the jet.

The low abrasiveness of the filters prevents damage to the work tools

in finishing operations (in case of closing of the closing system
